The village of Babylon lies in the enchanting landscape of Chodsko, a region with a rich history, beautiful architectural monuments, inimitable folklore and magical virgin nature. The former timber village has become a resort and a center of recreation and tourism. Babylon offers tourists and visitors to the village the opportunity to spend a pleasant holiday and actively use their free time. Athletes and children will find their place here .
Tennis courts are available in the village center for tennis, volleyball, and netball players . Next to them is a football field where local championships are held, a multifunctional field with fitness elements , a pétanque field , a ping-pong table (balls, bats, and balls can be rented on site), skittles, table football, and a children's playground . For refreshments and relaxation, the neighboring pub "Sauna"
serves , from whose terrace you can watch the athletes on the courts "live". In the immediate vicinity there is also a small pond (fire tank) with a viewing pier, also used for swimming. Just a few meters away is a spa landscape park with a continuous nature trail , a children's playground , a bike path, a natural maze, and a public fireplace . The park has several benches and two gazebos in case of sudden rain or, conversely, protection from the sun. It is followed by floodplain natural habitats with pools. On the outskirts of the village, near the train stop, there is a small natural wall for climbers .

Babylon and its surroundings are interwoven with many cycle paths , both asphalt and off-road, which are part of the Prague - Regensburg cycle path. An asphalt paved path for pedestrians, cyclists, roller skaters and skiers leads to the Újezd-Havlovice railway station along the road to Domažlice.
On the outskirts of the village there is a natural swimming pool with a gradual entry into the water and a grassy beach. A spruce and pine forest stretches around the pond. The water in the pond contains a significant amount of radon, which has a beneficial effect on the treatment of the musculoskeletal system. In the summer, the water quality is regularly checked. The Babylon Pond was cleared of sediments in 2010, so the water is significantly cleaner. This is also evidenced by the presence of many crayfish and clams. The swimming pool is equipped with refreshments, toilets, changing cabins, showers, a volleyball court, slides , a diving board, a sandbox and play elements for children. In the immediate vicinity of the beach there is a parking lot and several other kiosks with refreshments and ice cream. From the observation pier next to the beach it is possible to feed fish and ducks.
Near the swimming pool there is a popular car camp , which is open from May to the end of September. Visitors can stay in tents, caravans or cottages, there is a kitchenette equipped with, among other things, electric cookers, a stove, and it is also possible to rent dishes.
There are several older cottages and villas in the village from the 1920s and 1930s, some of which are of both historical and architectural value. The local monuments also include small architectural objects, such as a village chapel , a memorial cross from 1857 , a monument with the Hus chalice and a monument to the victims of World War I.
A number of important personalities worked or spent their holidays in Babylon, such as Professor Bohuslav Brauner of Charles University in Prague, geologist Prof. Rudolf Sokol, and singer Karel Zich.
The village, which is entirely a residential area, has a municipal office, a local library, a kindergarten, a post office, a grocery store, several restaurants, a hotel. There is a bus and train stop. Every year, on the first Saturday of the holiday, the cultural festival Summer Babylon is held here.
Historically, there have always been several active associations here. Currently, they are TJ Sokol Babylon, SDH Babylon and the Babylon Association.
